Producer, pianist and live-remixer Mark de Clive-Lowe (MdCL) started a clubnight a few years ago called CHURCH. CHURCH has been in high demand in both LA and NYC and has featured Jean Grae, DJ Spinna, Leon Ware, Questlove of the Roots, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and more. If you have witnessed CHURCH in person then you know –but if you are one of the few people who haven’t let me tell you what you would find…You’d find MdCL manning the piano, drum machines –while programing beats on the fly while live sampling the guest vocalists AND horn players. Basically, you are witnessing the makings of a few awesome songs being created right in front of you.
Which brings me to MdCL’s next project is to put CHURCH on record. It’ll be his 11th Studio album, and you know that the record will include special guests and musicians on the album.Mark has turned to the uber popular crowd-funding website Kickstarter to record and release the album.
The campaign will run for 30 days and supporters will be able to choose from pre-ordering the new album on multiple formats, getting back catalog packs, private lessons and plenty more. He’s even offering LIFETIME tickets for his shows anywhere in the world. Over the course of the 30 day campaign, MdCL will also be releasing a brand new series of multi-camera one take solo performance videos where he displays the essence of his performance process using a grand piano, drum machine, keyboard and two effects pads.
So if you are complaining that there’s isn’t any good music out there, here’s a project for you to stand behind! With your help you’ll help MdCL bring great music to the masses.
