With so much music out there these days, it’s become harder and harder to catch my ear. So when I was dablling through the excellent Majestic Casual channel on YouTube (hands down the best thing in music these days) I came across the voice of Py. While her other work is good, the title track from her EP Polyethers is quite simply amazing.
The track layers everything from broken beat, to house synths, to the soulful chorus. It’s all mixed together in a way that shouldn’t work on paper but does.
With a major push on the way (including some love from the BBC) there is no telling where this woman will go. Check it.
