Pardon my unsuccessful attempt at devising a clever name for the first elixir that I can claim exclusive rights. Although the name may not hit the mark, this sipping cocktail balances on the palate with a little sweet, spicy, smoky bitterness.
1 1/2 oz of rye whiskey
3/4 oz of amaro
1 tsp of desert mesquite honey
a splash of ruby red grapefruit juice (or more depending on your preference)
