KIDCITY is the music of husband and wife, Kelly and Caleb Ellis. The duo employ a gritty sound which they smilingly dub as “clip-hop” – or for all intents and purposes: dark, melodic pop songs with an overloaded signal. Their first self-titled EP debuted in May of 2011, featuring the single “Bloody Face”. They’ve since written songs for various mixtapes and compilations and were featured in NME’s Radar Scene in July of 2012. Their newest EP, MRDR BRDNS, draws on heavier and darker themes – not for the weak of heart. KIDCITY is also working on a project called Miserable Singers with Canadian poet Victor Coleman, which they will reveal in 2013.
