Yes, we know that SXSW was a few weeks away, but we still have some dope content to share. The Couch Sessions crew was invited to attend Perez Hilton's One Night In Austin event, which took place during the last night of SXSW. The annual event was a bit different this year, as it was a paid event (no RSVPs) with the proceeds going to the VH1 Save the Music Foundation.

The event was dedicated to tall things emerging pop. With Kimbra (our fave) and Miguel (who also rocked our showcase) starting off the night. The rest of the lineup was pretty stacked, with UK Export Ed Sheeran and Canadian band Dragonette really winning me over. However, the night took a rough patch as Cher Loyd, Dev, and Kreyshawn took the stage. Unfortunately, Kreyshawn's performance was weak. The rapper lacks stage presence and was out-shadowed by her hypeman--never a good sign.

The night was rounded out by Timbaland and B.O.B. Timbo's routine consisted of him chatting gleefully about how he was one of the best producers in the game. Honestly, it looked like something he would do in the mirror every morning. B.O.B closed out the night, with a decidedly loud performance, which was brought him back to his more mixtape offerings.

All in all it was a good night. You can't knock Perez for being passionate about pop music.
