Red Bull Music Academy (RBMA) is a one of a kind adventure geared towards music creatives. RBMA is a world travelling workshop that covers all genres of music. This fall (October/November) RBMA is taking over New York City. The workshop will have two groups of 30 selected participants –DJs, instrumentalist, producers, singers, emcees from around the world will merge together for two weeks of recording sessions, various workshops, lectures from legendary musical luminaries, and crazy late night shows and they want YOU to be a part of the experience. They are holding RBMA Sessions in select cities. The RBMA recently conducted a session to a packed house in Washington DC at the Dunes in Columbia Heights with DJ/Producer Sinden and Singer/Songwriter Jesse Boykins III, Moderated by Brooklyn Bodega’s new Editor-in-Chief Marcus K. Dowling. The main objective for this session was to familiarize potential applicants about the RBMA, during which both Boykins and Sinden shared their experience at RBMA and how it helped shape their craft and build great friendships and musical collaborations. Boykins and Sinden both previewed songs that were developed at RBMA and Boykins performed two songs. The session proved to be a great and informative piece for those who might not have known about RBMA and encouraged those who want to be a part of an amazing experience.
