For most Americans, we all remember the time when we fell in love with Estelle. Her track “American Boy,” with Kanye West was not only a worldwide pop smash, but it’s enduring nature made the UK singer/songwriter a star in the United States. For us, we have been fans of the London-born starlet since her debut album 1980 (which most Yanks have not yet heard), but she’s most certainly found her lane with Shine and her latest album All of Me.

We sat down with Estelle at the Atlantic Records offices in New York City an chatted with her about her career, the ubiqous success of “American Boy,” and  working with such names as Rick Ross and John Legend on her album, which is in stores now. Check it.
