Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m very glad that my old stomping grounds of Washington, DC is finally getting the recognition it deserves in the music scene. And a good chunk of that recognition is thanks in part to Will Eastman, Outputmessage, and Micah Vellian. The three have been making music together and separately for a while now, and a few months ago, they got together to form a local EDM supergroup titled The Volta Bureau.
Named after Georgetown’s The Volta Graphophone company (the precursor to Columbia Records), Volta’s latest single “Hope,” is a banger, and the visuals are stunning. The track is available on vinyl now. Looking forward to seeing the future of this trio.
