REMASTERED: Warpaint – Billy Holiday
by Yvette Travillian
I heart the kick-ass ladies of Warpaint.
“Billy Holiday” is a one part ode to Billie Holiday & a half cover of Mary Wells’ 1964 classic “My Guy” (performed totally Warpaint style). Originally produced by Red Hot Chili Peppers’ John Frusciante, but remastered by Pulp bassist Steve Mackey, the song first appeared on Warpaint’s debut EP Exquisite Corpse & will now be re-released for the deluxe edition of their album, The Fool.
