Most of y’all know this…I’m a sucker for a good mashup.
Unfortunately with the cheapening of technology it’s become harder and harder to seek great mashups. So I stopped looking.
Having that said, this Ghostface x Afrofunk mix piqued my interest. First off, it’s Ghostface. Nuff said. Second, it’s afrobeat, a genre that’s still being discovered by those who claim to be on the cutting edge. I was initially concerned–Ghostface’s varying cadences make it hard for remixers–but Max Tannone (Jadiohead) mixes the two genres smoothly. Check it.
