SONG: Maxwell – Bad Habits

[youtube S6s41gpCfg8 nolink]

It is sexy! Or maybe it was just cause he was/is sexy… “I can’t control the feeling…” The passion and the the danger of losing everything to feed that insatiable urge to be with the “wrong one”.  You know how folks get caught up in those bad habits that feel soooooo gooood…

ALBUM: Zo! – SunStorm

[youtube m3VB6UvVFVU nolink]

ZO!’s SunStorm was on heavy rotation. Especially Greatest Weapon Of All Time feat. Sy Smith (saw Deborah Bond perform this in DC _ instant favorite), Be Your Man feat. Darien Brockington, This Could Be The Night feat. Eric Roberson, Darien Brockington & Rapper Big Pooh and Make Luv 2 Me feat. Monica Blaire

SONG: Grillade – Dream of You

[vimeo 16915701 nolink]

by Grillade [gree-yahd]  It was groovy and soothing all at the same time. I have only heard 3 joints from them but they were instantly on repeat.

SONG: Out My Mind, Just In Time/Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long

[youtube q4PRpAt2iOc nolink]

Out My Mind, Just In Time – I am a fan of Erykah’s epic songs with pace changes. I like to ride them out and see where we both land. Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long “you got me feeling like a girl with a fiendish crush…” I could say a lot about this song and my reasons for having in my my top five… but I am sure ya’ll don’t want to know alla that information about me and stuff… let’s just say… I like it.

SONG: Bilal feat Robert Glasper- All Matter

[youtube 0apYId-zQQE nolink]

Uhmmm… when ever I get overwhelmed or pissed off…. yeah know that this song re-balances my entire being. Recently, heard a rock version as opposed to the jazzy rendition Robert and Bilal did and still it has the same effect. The very definition of necessary.
