Video 2 Peep: Ski Beats – Cream of the Planet Feat. Mos Def

If you’re a serious hip hop head then you probably peeped the dopeness of producer Ski Beats many moons ago. The first time I learned the name was when I went searching for the person responsible for lacing the world with Jay Z’s monstrous “Dead Presidents” off of his 1996 classic, Reasonable Doubt. Since then he’s gone on to  produced dope beats for Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Camp Lo and the ultra hot “Just Blaze” for Fat Joe.

Originally from North Carolina, Ski (né David Willis) who also reps New York –  is gearing up to drop his upcoming solo album debut titled 24 Hour Karate School, which will feature Jay Electronica, Joell Ortiz and Ras Kass. The first single and video is for “Cream of the Planet” which co-stars Mos Def and it’s an automatic banger. The beat goes extra hard and has a nice light jazz backdrop – and Mos’ flow is jive bananas. Yeah, 24 Hour Karate School is without a doubt on my music radar. Peep it. NOW.
