It’s been a tough road for Wale Folarin. Primed to be a breakout star in the Class of ’09, he’s been passed by Drake, Kid Cudi, and B.O.B. in record sales and J Cole in blogger buzz. Couple that with his Black Pride controversy, and endless Twitter rants (including going after a fan because she called his Tweets “boring”) the PG County rapper has not been winning over new fans.

But all is set to change. Wale returned to Twitter to announce a comeback of sorts with this More About Nothing Mixtape.  Patterned after the successful Mixtape About Nothing, the rapper plans to take the Sienfield theme up again–a dubious theme for a mixtape which worked above and beyond my expectations.

Let’s face it. Wale shines in the mixtape game. His debut album, Attention Deficit, was too watered down to really show his true genius, while every track he released since (like the glorious “My Sweetie”) has been above and beyond the tracks that his label wanted us to pay for.

To reintroduce himself to the world, we get this crisp YouTube trailer, showing us what he’s been up to in the past few months–all while acknowledging his addition to Twitter–in addition to the track “Workin’.”

Is Wale back? Only time will tell. This “Workin'” track is a great start tho.
