If all goes well, I might be heading up to NYC by the end of the year, and if I settle in the Big Apple, there is no other borough that I would rather be in than Brooklyn. Far from the poshness of Manhattan (although that’s changing), the area has always historically symbolized the struggle, trials, and successes of the American Dream.
The Stuyvesants, aka Allan Cole (Algorythm), and Darien Victor Birks (Flwrpt), created a project that pays homage 70s Bed Stuy, choosing from a palate of some of the most laid back sounds of the genre. The result is a project that is perfect for a lazy summer afternoon–whether you’re in Brooklyn or Boise.
