Not many people know this about me but Ne-Yo is hands down one of my favorite R&B singer/artists out today. His ability to successfully crossover from songwriter to singer was done with such a smooth and effortless ease and despite some of those ‘fishy’ pictures from Giant Magazine a couple of years ago, I think he possesses a great deal of talent.

He just recently leaked his first single off his new album titled “Beautiful Monster” and the crooner choose to steer away from the R&B side and dabble  once again into the dance genre. A move he made with his ultra hot single “Closer” from his last album, Year of the Gentleman.  - a song I totally plaaaayed o-u-t. In fact for “Beautiful Monster” Ne-Yo teamed up with the same person who produced “Closer” , a dude named  Stargate. Stargate has been his go-to man for all his best singles - including “So Sick”, Because of You” and “Miss Independent”.

I’ve been hearing a handful of mixed opinions on “Beautiful Monster” but I’m totally digging it. Look for Ne-Yo’s new album “Libra Scale”  to drop at the end of the summer.
