Hypnotic Brass Ensemble consists of a crew of brother hailing from Chicago who all got their start on the streets playing music for money. They are known for doing amazing jazz-like covers of popular music ranging from Jay Z, Outkast and Fela and have literally toured all over the world sharing their style of “hypnotic” brass sounds to massive audiences. They’re music which is featured on the latest Gorillaz album Plastic Beach has become so popular that they’ve been approached my multiple major record labels – to which they declined to sign to.
Hypnotic Brass Ensemble are set to released a new EP called Heritage which features an awesome version of Outkasts’ “Spottieottiedopaliscious”. It’s something cool – something different and worth checking out.
