VIDEO: Blitz The Ambassador – Stereolive

Blitz The Ambassador is one of my favorite hip-hop artists these days, and he’s one of the few people that continues to set the standard, especially in the live game. The New York based MC rocks one of the illest live acts we’ve seen since The Roots with a horn section and a string section. The result is a fuller, more robust sound than two turntables and a microphone.

But Blitz is not an MC that hides behind the horn section. The dude has some fierce skills and his rhymes are on substance.

Stereolive is the live followup to the excellent Stereohype album that dropped last year. The 5 track live EP was recorded live at Royal Blue Studio in Brooklyn, and recorded and mixed all analog (ie no Pro Tools). The video was beautifully shot by Embassy MVMT and includes such in studio guests as John Forte and Bajah.

Stereolive is available on iTunes and Bandcamp.
