Introducing The Couch Sessions Suite at SXSW, New Internet TV Partnership with

WASHINGTON, DC – The Couch Sessions, the leading worldwide urban alternative magazine, is debuting a new ground-breaking invitation-only artist showcase at the 2010 South By Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas. The Couch Sessions Suite will be a first of it’s kind experience, leveraging video, audio, and key social media platforms that will reach a diverse cross-section of cosmopolitan users in every major urban market in the North America in addition to select International Markets. The mission of “The Suite” is to serve as an innovative artist lab for interviews and live performances in addition to creating networking initiative for tastemakers, bloggers, and content providers.

The Couch Sessions has also announced a partnership with Washington, DC based Internet TV production house to film Suite content for use in a new weekly Couch Sessions themed entertainment program, with an option for future television broadcast rights.

Using the powerful brand name of The Couch Sessions, the site has lined up some of the most dynamic and talented artists from around the world to perform, with more information to be announced in the upcoming weeks. Artist interviews will be filmed in front of a live audience and select performances will also be streamed live via USTREAM. Performance content will also be used in the Couch Sessions Suite podcast and compilation, which will be available for download at a later date. Couch Sessions readers will also be able to interact with their favorite artists through Twitter and Facebook, participate in online artist chats and have the opportunity to be selected as audience members during taping.
