  3. A Tribute To Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon – Beatlife

[...] TheCouchSessions.com just released a free mixtape Tribute to Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon. It’s no secret that I’m a huge Little Dragon fan so I’m lovin’ this concept. They’ve put together a retrospective of sorts including some of her work with Koop, guest spots with  Ge-ology, classic Little Dragon tracks and more. If you are new to Little Dragon, this mixtape will school you on Yukimi’s pedigree, and for those already in the know, this serves as a great compilation, saving you the trouble of doing all the hunting and gathering ;) Here’s the official word from the Couch Sessions folks, followed by the tracklist and download. The Couch Sessions, the Internet’s leading Alternative Urban music portal, announces it’s first mixtape, A Tribute to Yukimi Nagano, focusing on the the trailblazing career of the Swedish vocalist and lead singer of the group Little Dragon. In addition to her work with the world-renowned group, Yukmi has a long track record of incredible music, mixing her loves of Jazz, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, and R&B. Her sultry voice has graced projects from all over the world, from Swedish Jazz duo Koop and Japan’s Shuya Okino, to Brooklyn’s Ge-ology. Coming on the heels of Little Dragon’s much anticipated return to Liv Nightclub in DC on November 22nd and their latest album Machine Dreams, A Tribute to Yukmi Nagano will introduce listeners to rare and unreleased tracks that will surprise and delight her true fans. 8. More New, Free Music: Beach House, Outputmessage, and More – Arts Desk – Washington City Paper

[...] The hazy Swedish electropop act Little Dragon performs Sunday at Liv, and the Couch Sessions blog  dropped a mixtape that pays tribute to the group’s singer, Yumini Nagano, by connecting the dots between her various projects, all of which are, by degrees, jazzy and urbane. D.C.’s Supa Kool DJ Uncle Q mans the boards. Grab it here. [...]

Still not able to download. Every time I try and open the file or save it to my hard drive it doesn’t work, just opens a new Explorer window, no mention as to whether there’s a problem. Is this something to do with the link not yet being fixed after exceeding the download limit?

  12. After The Rain « Req Effect

[...] This Floating Points remix of the Little Dragon track After The Rain came out some months ago now but there’s interest around the London producer at the moment, particularly in light of his remix of Sebastien Tellier’s latest single. This is less house orientated than his present output but it’s a perfect compliment to Yukimi Nagano’s voice and if you’re a fan there’s a retrospective Tribute To Yukimi Nagano mixtape at The Couch Sessions. 20. A Tribute To Yukimi Nagano

[...] Our friends over at Couch Sessions have released their first mixtape. A sweet dedication to one of my favorite import songbirds Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon. Ever since I first heard her vocals on the first Little Dragon album I’ve been hooked on her sound. Her sultry, soulful voice and passionate delivery never fails to disappoint and ever track she blesses is given extra dimension. Washington, DC’s own DJ Supa Kool DJ Uncle Q compiled a few for this mix dedication. I’m sure this will given quite a few repeat listens. Check out the the original Couch Sessions post: [...]
