Naa dwag!thats just the problem. people feel jams differently. If u ask a subsaharan african about my sweetie, they'll tell U there was a midas feel on the track. I think the difference is that wale is clear lyrically!

I was really feeling wale before this album dropped. But now I just kinda lost interest, it seems he has watered himself down some, I was once so hyped about this album that I couldnt wait for it to drop. But after hearing the single and some of his recent work, it has just fizzled out for me. Oh well, hope he can focus his game more in the future..

I couldn't have said it better. It's refreshing to know that a site is able to objectively and critically review a piece of work from an artist repping the same city. I was afraid that would be a problem with this release and Couch Sessions, but I tip my hat to you.

Good review. As most of y'all know I've been supporting Wale for over 4 years now, and I pegged him to be the "next big thing" years before people were hip to him. I think he does have a long, bright future in the game, but Attention Deficit will only be a blip on the radar, and not the MAJOR release that he needed to make his name in the mainstream.

Unfortunately, like a lot of major label projects, the record was TOO cautious, TOO calculating, and shed every aspect of this man's individuality.

Sad thing is that this dude has a body of work (mixtapes, releases, etc) that is better than most rappers in the game. A "best of" release would've been the perfect course of action. It would be cheap to produce AND Drake has had success doing the same thing with the So Far Gone re-release. Just sayin'.

Having that said, I will buy multiple copies of Attention:Deficit for Christmas gifts. The game needs Wale, the DMV NEEDS Wale, and I'm not going to sit around and see one of rap's great hopes sit along the wayside. Real talk.
