Say what you want about Wale, but the dude is not only dropping some of the hottest tracks in hip-hop, but he’s repping DC on a national and worldwide level. Wale and his go-go band UCB have been tapped to be the house band for the 2009 Video Music Awards from New York City. This is not his second time being on the award show stage, he also shared the stage with Mark Ronson in 2007.

Yet, with all of his accomplishments, the dude still has haters. I will never understand. As you can see from our tag cloud on the lower right hand side, we’ve been supporters of Wale from day one and will continue to support the dude.

His Attention Deficit has been pushed back, but will hopefully be in stores soon.

  • T. AKA Ricky Raw

How this guy has less buzz than Drake blows my mind.

  • Tony Blount

I second that, Drake is good, But Wale is killing every rapper out right now. The only one close to him is Phil Ade who is still paying his dues.

  • Stone

I’m not surprised. Drake is more “marketable” and “radio friendly” than Wale. Even though he has skills, it takes more than being a decent rapper to make it these days.

    I second that Stone.
