Nikki Jean Signed to Columbia Records

Nikki Jean feat Oddisee - Tell The Truth

Most of y’all might know Nikki Jean as the hook girl from Lupe Fiasco’s Hip-Hop Saved My Life track last year. However, the Philly (via MPLS) singer was also the frontwoman for the experimental roots side project Nouveau Riche (who performed at our Banned in DC show a few years ago), and from her amazing music that she posted to her MySpace page. Oh, and did I mention that she is beautiful as well? I wish Nikki all the best with her new found contract, and I hope to God they don’t pull a J*Davey on her.

Nikki’s track on DC rapper Oddisee’s mixtape is insane! This track is definately one of my favorite of the year.
