I don’t know too much about Baby J, but I know that this dude is creating some of the most interesting hip-hop producers I’ve heard come out of the UK in a long time. I gotta say that this dude’s videos and production style are pretty innovative. The track Ruffnek Set the Trend feauturing woefully underrated artist Tawiah is a dope indie rock/ragga combination that, while upbeat, actually talks about gang violence in the inner city. The claymation brings back memories too. The remix of Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse’s Valerie is an equally decent track and video.

Much thanks goes out to Apple iTunes Genius for recommending this track when I was listening to Tawiah’s In Jodi’s Bedroom EP. Scary.
