Q-Tip – Gettin’ Up

So Q-Tip is finally releasing his followup to his 1999 (!) album Amplifie. “Gettin’ Up” is the first single from The Renaissance which is scheduled to drop in September, but that’s not confirmed. The LA Times is already calling it “the most artistically whole CDs of the late ’00s.”

Guests include Kanye West, Common, D’Angelo, and Lupe as well as Santogold and Barack Obama. Word?

I wonder if the Q-Tip/Andre track that we played on the Podcast a couple years ago will make the cut.
