In the great sea of independant artists churning out gigabytes of hot-garbage, it’s a shame that something so musicially relevant as FinePrint’s work goes unnoticed.

The two albums (“Lunar Module” & “The Love Series”) do indeed channel the pioneers of the genre, suchas DJ Cam, DJ Shadow and of course the muscial genius of James Yancey. Although the inspiration is evident, he doesn’t bite (Yessir, I’m 30+ and that was an 80′s slang) – he creates soundscapes that are full of originality and soul.

These are ‘songs’, not beats. FinePrint is a musician, not a beatmaker.

On his myspace he said he’s letting some of his MCs spit on the Love joint. Hope they bring top-shelf a-game cause I’d hate to hear some male bovine feces over this excellence.
