NYC People: Hip-Hop Odyssey International Film Festival

If you’re up in NYC, you should check out the fifth annual Hip-Hop Odyssey International Film Festival which officially starts tomorrow May 31st and runs through June 17th. The list of films being shown this year include Wu: The Story of the Wu-Tang, I Love Hip-Hop in Morocco, Guilty Or Innocent of Using the N Word, Holy Hip-Hop, Ghostride The Whip: The Hyphy Movement, Remixed In Japan, and wtf: an okaymentary.

In addition to the films, the festival will also honor Hip-Hop legends at the Oydessy Awards, scheduled to take place on June 16th in NYC. Ed Lover and Paul Mooney will host.

    hi, i have done a documentary “words are burning us” about the french urban spoken word scene (52′) i participate to the PARIS HIP HOP festival, OUAGA hip hop festival (biggest festival in africa), LOS ANGELES celebrate the word festival, DAKAR Slam diaspora festival. my film include US archives of martin luther King, the last Poets and Saul WILLIAMS. can i submit my film to you?
