Most of y’all know Consequence as that other dude on Beats, Rhymes, and Life (or a dubious artwork choice). Unfortunately, being the weed carrier for A Tribe Called Quest at the end of their career didn’t bode well for the Queens, NY rapper.
Consequence has been on the mixtape grid since the early part of this decade and was featured on Kanye’s College Dropout, and Late Registration albums, most notably for the breakout track “Spaceship.” In 2006, the rapper signed with Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music and 2007 sees his first proper album release: Don’t Quit Your Day Job.
Could this be the album of the year? I haven’t gotten my hands on the CD yet, but early reviews are looking good for this one. Check this track from the album and let me know what you think.
