I'm just getting in from California. More about that later, but listen, the tragedy in New Orleans is unimaginable. The fact that thousands of African Americans have been treated like animals by our government is shameful and downright disheartening.
It's Friday, and food and water are just making their way to the city of New Orleans.
I was talking with another passenger on the plane today, and he asked a poignant question. “Should we donate?” Should we even give money to fund incompetence?
As much as I agree with his positions about the failure of our government, I have to say yes. Donating to organizations such as the Red Cross and The Salvation Army will provide food and comfort to the hundreds of thousands of people that our government has left behind.
